Chopsticks has always been reminiscent and directly relatable to China and Chinese cuisine. I remember before coming here being told about the legend of the invention of chopsticks, of a man who supposedly used two twigs to consume his porridge better. Surprisingly enough, I find that the hardest to do with chopsticks, particularly for any wet rice. Everytime I eat with chopsticks (generally in the 食堂), the hardest challenge would be to eat the rice that has mixed in with the stir fry, which are damp and, while tasty, hard to grab without a spoon or the dignity of just sucking on your plate. I did the latter tonight. I guess the chopsticks are really a test for patience for these types of foods..
