小心 → XIǍO XĪN → BE CAREFUL
It snowed during the last weekend. Really snowed, and this word came to me whenever I venture out to walk anywhere. The snow-ploughing some people are doing on the streets is appreciated, but however much they plough, they can’t make the surface less slippery, and whenever I take a walk, not only the risk at the back of your head of slipping and falling comes to mind, but also the sensation when you slipped and nearly fell (thankfully I didn’t fall, but it came close more than several times).
Think about it, in a recently ploughed field of snow, that brown muddy liquid on the roads, imagine falling into that. Thus, this word I repeat to myself every hour in my head today..
